    New D901c: Irql Not Less Or Equal

    I just got my D901C... I tried to install Vista Ultimate 64 bit but after loading the files I get the message IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. Does anybody know what could it be? The notebook will be picked up from the reseller next Monday but of course I would be happy if somebody can find a solution. :confused:

    Yeah, remove one RAM card, install with 2GB then install this. You can insert the other RAM card afterwards. This is just a hunch, but it may work. It's the logical answer in my opinion.

    So I tried it: I removed one RAM and althought windows was starting I got a page fault in nonpaged area error message.
    After I changed the second RAm (I thought that maybe was defect), the istallation has started till a certain point but then it showed again the message Page Fault (ntfs.sys) Address FFFFF9800109CA0D base at FFFFF9800108A000, Datestamp 4549b40c

    get the ISO of MemTest86+
    - burn it onto a CD and let it autoboot to test your memory for errors.

    if it passes (meaning nothing is listed on the bottom area after 1 full pass), its not the memory... its probably software related.

    it can't be software related since I didn't install even Windows Vista...

    You can't imagine how much upset I am... upset it is not really the right word... maybe sad? It is the second time I order a notebook and that I have to send it back... The only thing I can say is that the D901C is a great notebook and it does really make little noise, much less than the M570RU... With the paint it looks really great, but there was another problem with it...
