Anyone got a hold of any new drivers for the 8800m gtx that work 100% with the card?

i think the stock 167.44 is the most stable from clevo, as other drivers 166.xx series tend to downclock the card.

you could try desktop drivers from: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/

Be careful, the recent 167.44 cuts performance in half. .43 so far works best imo. I've tried both and .44 got me a 3D score of 4500 or there abouts. Rolling back to .43 restored a 9170 score.

Well ogun, my 9262 came with the 167.44 drivers, and I got a 3dmark06 score of 10,087, out of the box. So It's not an issue everyone is having. Seems to be quite a few though.

It seems to be the NP5792/3 that are having more issues with the speeds not being correct.

WIth the 9262, the only driver I have found that does not work is the 171.16

Aryantes, have you seen any noticeable gains in fps, or performance in general using no-stock drivers? Seems like I had read about very small gains, like up 50 points in 3dmark06, using 169.23 for 64bit

With the custom drivers you should see that kind of increase.

    Nothing worth bothering with.

I just use the laptopvideo2go ones because they offer more resolutions and I do not know how to edit the drivers for custom resolutions ( if i wanted to use the stock ones )
