So I need a new headset. I have been using a Plantronics GameCom Pro1 for 4+ years and love it but its on its last leg and with my new Malibal on the way......

I need a USB Headset, Ideally between $30-$60 dollars
    It must connect via USB
    It must be over-the-head

What is the best one out there that fit these requirements?

    Thanks,

These come with good reviews for $65bucks Artic Cooling P-531

If you're willing to spend a little more anything from Sennheiser would rock. Personally I run the Logitech G930s over USB but that's double your price range.

Why USB? Won't you consider 3.5mm plugs? The steelseries siberia v2's are amazing

Why wouldn't I just get USB so much easier - fewer wires.....

one plug versus 2 from the same wire - really no big difference honestly. I wouldn't limit it to just USB as you are missing some really good headset options at that price range.

Yeah like 1 plug more seriously? The 3.5mm are great you can use them on ipods and mp3's too. You can get a richer sound quality too if using an internal sound card or the motherboards on board sound cards are just as good nowadays.

But if you get USB don't cheap out, might aswell get a good expensive pair. every cheap (less than $100) usb headset i've had has broken within 2 weeks - 2 months

Ugh I just wish Plantronics still made the GameCom Pro1 it was affordable, has lasted me 4 years, and works great with a lot of comfort.

Does this actually plug in with a USB cable? Looking at it online and a little confused because it says it has 3.5mm jacks, but then its called a USB headset?

if you have a bomb external audio card (like my Hercules Deejay Trim) + the Sony XB-700, then thats the kind of audio you want.

I also use a clip-on mic that goes to the usb audio card and my voice is like studio quality.
