I have an old asus u45jc-a1 laptop. It has lot of problems like constant beeping and when connected to a monitor, it would many times monitor go to sleep. I tested this with several monitors and this happens with each monitor so i know its my laptop.

Anyways, i went and bought a new sager laptop mainly b/c i wanted a fast quad core laptop. I got the laptop and it is pretty nice. I didn't transfer anything from my old laptop to the new laptop. The only thing that i did however was i have a usb drive that i plugged into the new sager laptop b/c i have some documents there that i need to put it on my sager laptop. I never did this as i all i did was just plug the usb flash drive into the new laptop thus i dont have any files saved into my new laptop. Thus no documents, just a flash drive.

Recently i noticed that while using this new sager laptop, im having a beeping sound. This doesn't make sense at all b/c this laptop is brand new and i can't imagine it having problems like this early on. The beeps however isn't exactly the same as the asus laptop. Its basically one beep, then one beep again over and over and it could come every 5 second or 10 second or a bit more. Sometimes however it will beat 2 times in a row very fast. The asus laptop however would beep a lot and range one beep to multiple beeps.

I had asked people in forums if i were to transfer documents from my asus laptop to this new sager laptop whether its documents or files, would there be any chance the new laptop would get corrupt files and then it might have similar problems like my asus laptop such as the beeping and connecting to a monitor and it randomly turning off. I was told no thats not even possible. But i didn't transfer any documents as i want to stay safe, i just used a flash drive with files that i need to view on it.

Another thing that has me very worried is in my old laptop, i know i had lot of bloatware and malware because when i visit sites such as say ebay, a bit later when searching other sites, i would see ads on ebay thus its like those tracking cookie i believe its called that does this for advertisements? Well recently i was on my new sager laptop and i noticed an adveristment for something i viewed such as on ebay... however i never viewed this item on my sager laptop. I viewed it on my asus laptop. This does not make any sense whatsoever. I checked and i see i have 117 adware while using super antispyware. This makes no sense at all as all i downloaded on this laptop was the basic problems that i needed.

Can someone tell me whats going on here? Why is my new sager laptop beeping so much just like my asus laptop? Another thing that has me very confused is why i do i see a few advertisements on my sager laptop like i do with my asus laptop?

I purchased from xoticpc and waiting for a response back. But im wondering if anyone here has this issue as well.

The beeping is odd, normally its reported when you are having problems with the computer and issues booting. But it sounds like you are hearing them when using the computer normally right?

Cookies will track you, you can try browser add ones like Ad Block to help limit those ads.

It is possible for malware to infect USB drives and simply plugging them into a new computer can cause them to infect a new one. If you dont have too much information put on the new computer you can reinstall Windows so you have fresh version again.

Have you ran any Antivirus programs or any to get rid of malware like Malwarebytes?

The beeping happens once the computer loads. It beeps pretty much nonstop today. Yes whether i do nothing with the computer on or just web browsing the beeping occurs. It would beep one time then it comes again and again every 10 seconds. But now recently it seems to have 2 beeps, then 2 beeps etc. My asus laptop had beeped a lot before this as well but the beeps in that one was much much different than the beeps in this laptop. That laptop would sometimes beep more than 2 times at once. I basically was going to do a clean reinstall of that laptop after i was going to finish saving some files to an online storage site. So i will be doing a clean reinstall of that soon but now with this new sager laptop, i have no idea what caused this. It didn't beep at all when i first got it. I mean, could the usb flash drive cause these beeps?

Well i was told transferring data from old computer to new computer by others would never cause a problem. So i wasn't even going to try that but i would have figured the usb thing wouldn't cause any issue since im not directly putting a program downloaded to the computer and im just opening it.

The thing is i had an old usb 2.0 that i transfer the files to this usb 3.0 that i bought recently. Then i just used it on the new laptop and plug it in whenever i need to open certain files. Also these files are word document files that i created.

I ran microsoft essentials and nothing is shown. I ran malwarebytes and no problem. When i ran superantispyware however, it first saw 117 infections. I removed it. Then later on i scanned again and it showed 112 infections. So im not sure why these keep showing up.

The thing about these beeps is i went on youtube and searched these beeps and interestingly enough most of the laptop beeping videos, their beeping doesn't sound like the ones im having.

I only downloaded the necessary programs i needed on this new sager laptop. Such as openoffice, microsoft essentials, skype, chrome, winamp, winrar, vlc player and few other things. Also i made sure i downloaded each program directly and not through cnet as that site has lot of bloatware as im told.

I don't mind doing a clean reinstall but the thing is when i first got the computer, i made sure i wasn't going to download anything negative that might cause my laptop issues where i have to do a clean reinstall.

I actually did a clean reinstall of my desktop recently as well and it was the first time i did it correctly where i wiped everything out of my computer correct.

Also im not sure why but my asus laptop the last 2 days, it hasn't beeped 1 bit. That is very odds b/c it has been beeping for months and now the beeping has stopped. Could that be a coincidence? Something just doesn't make any sense here. When i had my 2 laptops on earlier and i heard the beeps, i had thought... why is the beeping happening on my sager laptop. Since its brand new and i never had an issue. I mean does that make any sense?

    STOP!
super antispyware can well be a virus itself. there were hundreds, if not thousands infected by a rogue version of this program about 3 or 4 years ago. this program was advertised by one of those advert popups and people unknowingly infected themselves but if they downloaded it from the official website then they were fine.

now as far as i know there is a legitimate version out there but personaly i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole (in other words stay well clear) just in case.

turn on your computer in safe mode (continuously tap F8 on boot up) then go into control panel > add/remove programs and remove super antispyware.

microsoft essentials is nothing special now a days and scored the lowest protection last year. if this is the anti virus you have loaded i would try something different like avast (link below) .
on any new computer the first thing i do is load my antivirus before even plugging it into the net.
try avast, its free Avast 2015 | Download Free Antivirus Software for Virus Protection
you will also need to turn on windows firewall as the free avast doesnt come with a firewall, only the paid version does.

just a thought but beeping could well be something has worked lose in transit like ram or hard drive.
did the beeping start the first day you got your sager.
can you also post your spec cpu / gpu / ram / hard drive / ssd / operating system.
also was it pre installed or did you load the operating system yourself.

most importantly welcome to the clevo/sager family :D

I see. Well if the beeping comes back you can do a clean install of Windows. Then for the files you want on the new computer you can put them on an older computer then email them to yourself or upload to google drive. Then check your email or download them on the new computer. This will keep the potentially infected USB drive out of play.
