I have a new M570TU and it keeps freezing in Windows 7 x64 Final. It happens randomly but I've noticed it happen everytime I copy a number of large files from my USB hard drive. It copies for about a few minutes then freezes solid.
The CPU temp was reading 31oC when it froze the last time and the GPU was at 45oC.
I'm running a Core 2 Duo P9700 with a 280M GPU with the latest nvidia drivers.
Any ideas on what could be causing it?

i believe it had something to do with the cpu downclocking ...
everytime the cpu down clocks to conserve power it freeze ...
i am not sure if yours is the same problem ???
in the end i returned mine and bought a d900f ... no problems since ... -
It might just be Windows 7. Have you tried to do the same with another OS?
You could also try to install the latest motherboard version. -
Think it was my AHCI drivers, I was using the default ones. I tried the following and I just copied 20GB of data from my usb hdd with no freeze ups.

Mine does an occasional freeze but I'm on Vista. Been like this since I bought it. Sent it in for repairs, but they couldn't replicate.
It even freezes on bootup after the post, but before the Vista loading screen on occasion.
