    Since the unit was defective and I have to return it (shipping it tomorrow), and we're going to be on the road for awhile traveling, I figure at this point I might as well wait for the white trim model available in September... right about when we should be staying put again. :D

    Correct me if I'm wrong but that white trim model comes with a white lid too. So its not just the trim that's white. I think if they kept the black lid it would look nicer.

    yes, the white trim comes with a different color lid..it looks like a silver/white color.

    white trim version is just the trim, everything else should remain the same

    I think I saw a picture somewhere of the white trim. If I can remember correctly the lid was white. Correct me if I am wrong.

    (that's the way Rock makes them atm :) )

    OOohhhh... aaaahhhh... yeah I like that white trim and silver lid! Unlike everyone else, I thought the orange looked exactly the same "in person" as it does on the web... ugly! I'd already asked my sweetie if he could paint it for me, LOL.

    Xiotic's custom paint jobs are mighty tempting... :D

    yeah, I wouldn't recommend painting it by yourself, voiding the warranty would be quite the risk to take.

    custom paints are around $300-400 that also comes with warranty for the paint.
