I've heard talk about current Clevo/Sager gaming laptops not playing nice with Sandforce-based SSDs is this true ?
If so did the problem ever get resolved ?
I currently have an adata s511 w/ 120gb & was hoping to use it with my new 8170 from gentechpc ,but fear it not working. Does anyone happen to own one(or someone who does) & know if it'll work ?

The major issue with SSD's came from the Vertex drives a few months ago. There was an issue with certain Sandforce drives not playing nicely with the chipset that caused BSOD's and instability. That said, most manufacturers have since updated the firmware so problems are more rare than they were. I'd say just use the model you have and you most likely won't have problems. Most retailers tend to recommend Intel drives because they've been tested and can come highly praised.
EDIT: I also forgot to say that you should probably check to make sure your drive has the latest firmware as well. -
Thank you for the quick reply
I was a bit concerned I'd have to drag even more cash out of my wallet.
It's easy to see Malibal has some great people behind it.
Thanks again.
