Your must be thinking of the 195.55, however this one is WHQL, and hopefully won't cause the issue the previous "new" driver caused in some machines. I think I will give it a try on my machine, wish me luck.

Totally failing to install these on my 8760 -- "could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware".

Smooth install, scored a 10416 3DMark06@1280x1024 (stable, no temp increase), compared to 10310 with 186.81, doesn't mean anything but at least it's not a loss. Time to get my game on and see what happens.

These rid the problems of constant BSOD on XP32, unlike the 195.55 driver. Seems good so far.

My temps cooled down now, like -3C in idle, and -5C in game's mode. Not so bad.

Fixed the 3D/2D throttling issue I was having with 186.81, and it seems I am plowing through more F@H work units at cooler temps. Nothing spectacular, but I think gaming might be a few degrees cooler as well, but it's hard to tell because it fluctuates so much. That said, no plans of reverting back to 186.

Why won't these install on NP8690?
