    Im about to buy a Sager Np9370 from Xoticpc totally specced out. Im about to drop 5 large on it and was wondering if anybody has any thoughts on maybe looking at a different laptop of manufacturer. And does anybody currently own this laptop and if so what are your thoughts?

    Depends on your preferences. If you want sheer power and prefer bigger screens, regardless of the notebooks weight (as in a Desktop Replacement) I would go with the P570WM, as it offers a real Desktop CPU instead of an overpriced mobile one.

    Or an Alienware M18x, which consistently has the highest benchmarks of any laptop. I wouldn't ever spend the cash for a P570WM, there's no point in a desktop processor, the mobile i7's are plenty of power for today's gpus.

    I would have to agree that the P570WM would be a better option if you're gonna go all out like that. The 3930k is calling to you... can't you hear it's sweet voice? @_@

    Thanks for your responses. Why do you guys think I should go with the P570WM? And I already have an M18x with dual GPU's. But I want to go BIG! Money is not an issue and I want the baddest gaming laptop money can buy.

    Honestly, if cash isn't an issue why not just go with a beefed up M18x?

    Superior cooling + build quality, shares almost all the features of an np9370. Also, desktop cpu in the P570WM seems like overkill when high end laptop cpu's won't bottleneck a 680m sli setup anyway :D

    Unless you want to run a multi 120hz monitor setup off a laptop ^^;;

    Only issue is if you don't like Alienware's styling or the weight of the M18x. As a M17x R2 owner I can honestly say that anodized aluminium can be a to cart around. But I personally enjoy the weight and you wouldn't move an m18x/NP9370 around much anyway.

    I really like the NP9370's touchpad and keyboard though.

    I would stay with P370 model but have Mythlogic built it.

    If money is not an issue, there is no overkill.
    It's true that the most expensive ivy quadcore is currently not really bottlenecking a 680M SLI setup, but it could soon. Also the 3920XM's price/performance ratio is ridiculous.
    I would just go with the desktop 3930K in the P570, nothing better than having an overclocked hexacore in your notebook :)

    Or a jet engine in your Subaru. :p

    Honestly, these laptops are made for high end users. The Alienwares are nice and perhaps have a bit more grandiosity to their styling, but you'll probably get higher performance out of the Sager.

    Keep in mind, overclocking the CPU in 570WM is risky.
    Heat could be a problem....

    I think I'm going with the NP9370. Already have an M18X and currently trying to sell it. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just looking for certain things in a laptop and when I bought the M18X I didn't know what I was doing. Thanks again for the input.
