    Hello everyone.
just joined the happy Clevo P570 family!
    bought directly from Sager.
hope to post some benchmarks in the next few days after ill get it.
can't wait to test this monster.

    specification:
    Sager NP9570
    Intel® Core™ i7-4960X
    32GB Quad Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
    2X Nvidia GeForce GTX 880M GPU with 8GB GDDR5
    2X 512GB Samsung 840 Pro in RAID-0
    2X 1TB 7200rpm
2X AC Adapter & Power Converter Box
    2X NP9570 Smart Li-ION Battery
    Killer™ Wireless-N 1202
    Asus USB External Slim 8X DVD±R/ 6X ±RW/ 6X±DL Super-Multi Drive
    Windows® 8.1 Professional 64-Bit
    TXL617, Targus 17" XL Backpack

    few questions tho:
1 - what is the longest time on battery will i able to get with this machine(after putting it on the minimal power saver profile & disabling one GPU?)?
2 - what are you'r recommendations for BIOS flashing?...wait for awhile until i get to know the system or do it right from the beginning?
3 - what do you think of my specification choosing?

    10X

The 4930k is a better choice due to the cost difference and the fact that both are unlocked where the cache makes very little difference.

I get around 2 hours if I use nvidia inspector to clamp the GPUs to P8.

Flash it with the Prema bios if you are confident.

Remember the batteries require a screwdriver to swap.

I am not gonna do OC at least for the first year.
so i needed the best CPU i could get...and the extra cache will help with CPU final renderings in 3ds Max.
will the Prema bios give me anything else?
as for the batteries...it's only for rare cases...99% of the time ill be connected to the power grid.
but ill do it from home + office + another office with partners + at my client's place so the mobility was important.

what is the P8 you mentioned?

The prema bios unlocks the PCI-e bus from 1.1x to 2.0 which can improve performance in 3d applications.

    P0 -> P8 where P0 = full 3d clocks and P8 is the lowest idle state.

Is that locked due to stability reasons like PCI-e GEN2 option on Alienware M17x? Enabling GEN2 on the M17x is a kiss of death to using any modern nVidia (3XX) driver.

    Thank you for that.
is it possible to disable one of the cards on the road?
does the CPU have the same power management options as mobile CPU's have?

does the PCI-e unlock will be noticeable?...i dont want to install windows and then install it again due BIOS falshing.

It may have something to do with the platform also. A mobile form factor is on the bleeding edge of sanity for a desktop processor and it might take a more robust motherboard, more BIOS tuning options, and different PSU setup to realize everything the 4960X brings to bear for enthusiasts. The 4960X may have functional capacities that are higher than 4930K, but cannot be fully realized when installed in the P570WM.

Nah its true on the desktop too, the 4930k and 4960x use the same binning mostly so share the same bell curve of sample variation meaning a 4930k can clock better than a 4960x. Both are technically extreme processors to intel.

    one question still remains.
flash my bios as i get it or i doesn't give me much?
