Hi everyone,
I just figured this out and tried it myself and confirmed working!
While reading this, grab SetFSB at http://www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/download/beta/setfsb20b9h.zip
To overclock your Sager NP5760 (Clevo M570U) easily just do this:
- Select Clock Generator: ICS 954227
- Checkmark Ultra
- Click GET FSB
- Goto Diagnosis: Change Byte 09 from 7E to 7F click update then click apply. You can now overclock.
- Select your overclock by sliding the first/top slider. Click Set FSB! DONE!
You can overclock well past 190 to about 205MHz FSB, past limits reached by the ClockGen reached in my last guide!
The i945PM chipset this notebook uses uses a watchdog timer to prevent overclocking past 200MHz, so getting 205 FSB stable can be hard. Lowering the PCI-E/AGP clock has reportedly helped get a few more MHz.
This method is more stable than ClockGen as well, so it seems.![]()
Post your overclocks here! Watch your Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83GHz reach over 2.2GHz!![]()

Nice find, you definitely are an OC'ing enthusiast.

Tried my best to break the 195FSB mark without BSOD...unfortunately I dont think it looks like a possiblity

Do you know if this works with regular Core Duos?
It let me change the Hex value, but then when I change the FSB (by only 5) and hit Apply, my lappy locked up hard.
Had to hold down power to force shutdown, then on reboot it's back to normal hex value and FSB. -
I wonder how high i could get my T7600 2.33? Maybe 2.45? Wonder how much difference that would make? Would it be worth it?

2.67GHz should be do-able and still be stable

hey,
thx a lot, i was looking a long time already to oc my laptop
The first time i started the tool it worked nice, but my PCI-express bus didn't liked the oc so i rebooted my laptop
Now when i try to start setFSB it gives the error "SMBus error"
how can i fix this ??
New SetFSB overclocks M570U (NP5760) past 200MHz FSB via software!
