For some reason my account was deleted or something. I was formally LGFUAD and I have left a couple threads here about all the trouble I'm having with my Sager NP6852.

A few days ago Windows 10 updated and when it was finished I started up Photoshop and noticed that the brightness was flickering. I thought this was a PS problem but now after a few days I realize it isn't. My display keeps dimming in and out. It gets really dark in Photoshop, but it happens occasionally in Firefox too. Here are the facts:

1.) Occurs when I'm plugged in and when I'm not
2.) Adaptive Display is turned off
3.) Both video cards have been updated

I've fooled around with the battery settings. I've updated the graphics cards. I tried restoring the laptop to an earlier state, but after it updated once it updated again right after that. I don't have a restore point before both updates took place.

This. THING. I can't take it anymore, but I can't send it back right now because I need it. Please help me fix this brightness issue. I'll really appreciate it!

    Thank you all!

    Thank you for your reply!

I don't think I do, but how can I check for sure? I've never even heard of it.

Since it has optimus check the Intel VGA control panel in power options and make sure all (battery and AC) are set to max performance. See if that helps.

    Thank you for your reply!

They were both set to max performance, however the Display Power Saving Technology was enabled. I disabled it and will let you know if the problem persists.
