From T9300 to X9000, bumped CPU and RAM(?) from 6.1 to 6.6.
Can't wait for SSDs to be more capacious and affordable... Opening up the persistent storage bottleneck would really let this old M570RU-U rig perform.

WEI makes no sense. Well, maybe it does, but I can't understand it. Is your system about 2 years old now? Laptop graphics technology has not advanced much, I think...

Yep it'll be two years old in March, and I suppose the 280M is not that much more powerful than my 8800M, but still a very noticeable gain in video processing power. My T9300 was falling way behind those new i7 chips though, that's why I decided to step it up a bit to the X9000, which is still only a dual core...

I find it strange how vista and W7 WEI gives different rating. Vista tends to give between lower than 5.8 for dual cores - where as W7 gives over 6?!?

Just goes to show its not really meaningful.

There must be a reason behind it (perhaps more efficient resource handling in 7), my 3DMark06 score went up more than 500 points from Vista to 7.
