i dont know if anyone has seen this before, but a detailed digging on clevo's W860CU revealed something new. the touchpad on W860CU is actually multi touch capable! they call it multi-gesture. it's not listed as factory option, so that means it's definately built into every single W860CU. nice.

here it is for the equally curious ones.

another thing to note is that the GPU is MXM type 3.0b.

Nice! Another one tops the Alienware M15x...no offense Alienware fans :D . Also its good to know the 280m GTX will be running full speed...none of that down-clocked versions. Man I'm excited.

I'm not getting my hopes up on this one.
    Hardware support - check
    Driver support - ?

Most laptops these days come with a multi-touch capable touchpad but few actually have drivers for it.

Hopefully Clevo will provide them so we don't have to depend on the OEM's.

My younger brother now uses it. It's his gift since he is going to canada to do architecture. I was hoping of doing some benchmarking against my M860, but he's leaving this friday. Oh well guess my little Fujitsu Lifebook will have to do til I get my W860. I'm sure you could help me with the benchmarking ;) (Yep that's a hint).

You can still benchmark. You don't need to do them together if they're gonna have the same setup either way. Just do the tests now while you still have the M860.

Well I told him to start to start benchmarking, because he doesn't live with me and its a couple hours drive to get there, and everything is in boxes. I was even thinking of asking users with a QX9300 and GTX 280M to do benchmarks because the GPU's will be the same, as mine has a GTX 260M.
