I was reading an article on SSD drives at Anandtech.
    http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=3667
They mentioned that Intel has a new firmware update that supports the Windows 7 TRIM command. Apparently this is for X-25M generation 2 drives only.

The Intel firmware update can be found at:
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17485

So if you have Windows 7 running on one of these drives I recommend this update.

The updater creates a bootable CD that installs the new firmware. The Intel readme file suggests changing the SATA setting in BIOS from AHCI to "compatible" before running it. However, since on the NP9280 the only other choice was RAID, I left it at AHCI and didn't have any problems.

    Oh no......
Looks like some people are having their drives bricked when installing the new Intel firmware. Intel has pulled it from their website.
    Doh!
