i bought the nc3000u its really quiet, sf should be louder and more powerful, cryo lx is the best, i had it b4 i constantly sell and buy newer coolers :)

    hi johnnyman,

if you are from europe, you might wanna check this one out:

    Enerma Aeolus Premium
Enerma Aeolus Premium Notebook-Kühler schwarz: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör

its supposed to be as powerfull as the cryo, but cheaper since its manufacturer is based in europe

btw: I am currently torn between the aelus and the notepal u3 myself...could you maybe tell me some of the experiences you had with notepal u3?

You could just buy the u3 oem package replacement fans from CM for like 10 bucks if they were the ones which broke.

Some people have been getting better temps with the u3 than the SF-19 due to how positionable the fans are!

how many degrees lower ur temps???u think the 220mm fan that is has is better than notepal u3 positionable fans???thx!

the notepal u3 is a very good cooler!!it helped to lower my temps like 4 degrees or higher!!really recommend it!!! :)

ohhh,is this true??i thought the sf-19 was a beast cuz of the two 140mm fans and the ac power it has!!

Yes you're right about the sf-19 being a lot more powerful in terms of fan size, but the airflow has to be directed well in order to make the best of it. The U3 has an advantage over here as the sf-19's fans are predominantly in the middle, away from where the intakes of the p151 chassis are. :)

I think a single replacement set should be good enough, the moving air provided by the extra 3 fans will just be blocked by the bottom plastic cover :)

cassecash : enermax aeolus is not very good, I would recommend not to buy it, i used it b4.

I had the u3. It felt cheap, bends a lot, very small fans, I did get about 4-5C cooling with my qosmio x505. I used my cryo lx on my old gateway fx series so I had huge improvements like 12C, but you can expect about 5-7C with clevos since they already have good cooling.

WOW haha, in that case the SF-19 may work better, though it's still a toss-up vs 6 fans on the u3.

I still recommend the mod I listed earlier though, I have not tried it myself but it looks really easy as everything is plug and play, just that you need to wait for the parts to come in.

Yes you're right, but OP is intending to get 2 sets of 3 for a total of 6 fans and I am making reference to that. :)

that is crazy! those fans are so small they only make a notable contribution when placed directly under the intake, plus there is no use to put 6 of those! just buy a better cooler then man!

something better, in the winter, make a hole in the wall and put a tube and let cold air directly into the vents on the laptop! :)

This is probably not the best idea for two reasons.

    1) Having an open vent to the outside invites debris and animals to make their homes in the warm vent pipe. I've seen some people try this with desktops and find nests and other stuff in the vents afterwards.

    2) The cold air will most likely produce condensation in the vents which may end up in your laptop. Water + electricity is a bad combination, obviously.

what? I was being sarcastic !!! you could use an outlet from a small air conditioning unit, but you will be using more power.
