    well if you have noticed my sig, i brought RMBO29's NP9262 off of him.. i cant wait til i get it, and i just thought that i would let you all know^^

    if ya have any guides or tutorials that you think might be helpful then pelase post them^^


    specs are:

    Processor:E6550 2.33GHz Intel® Core 2 Duo, 4MB L2 Cache 1333MHz FSB
    RAM:2 GB(2x1GB)
    Graphics:8800M GTX 512MB VRAM
    HDD: 120GB
    Display:1920x1200 WUXGA Glossy

    i plan on upgrading the Processor, RAM and Hard Drive then adding a second 8800m GTX

    any ideas on some helpful accessories like mouse, cooling pad or carry case?

    i plan on getting Oblivion GOTYE as my first game^^ then i will be buying the following

    STALKER
    medievil 2
    civ4
    gears of war
    unreal tournament 3
    painkiller overdose
    FEAR
    Age of Empires 3
    Command and Conquer 3
    Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War.
    The Orange Box

    most of these will be on like 3 for £10, 2 for £15 or 2 for £25 offers which is cool do ya have any ideas on any other lesser known games i should try

    also any diea on what software i should get? being the first time i will own a computer without having to share or having a laptop that was so crap you douldnt do anything on it kinda has me stumpt on what i should put on it^^

    im so exited i cant wait^^

    nope. im hoping that i will be able to use the grant to upgrade the specs :D

    Prey was great when i played it on 360 and you can get it part of 3 for £10 offers so i will be picking that up, as i have always been a console gamer i have missed some very cool looking PC games such as BF series (2 and 2142 look really good) as well as the HF series, though i had OB on PS3 it was just full of bugs i hope the PC version wont be.

    yeah i know a few people that play it and they say its great, so that'll be on my list maybe my second purchase. ill get Oblivion GOTYE for my SP fun and 2142 for my online fun^^

    yeah the 7593 is really nice, but i went for power :D

    any idea on what accessories i should get i know i will need:

    Mouse
    Backpack
    Laptop Cooler
    Power Adaptor (to turn the plug from USA to UK)

    other then those i dont really know, got any ideas?

    Also for the power cord (to make it uk) it's just a standard lead that you should be able to get easily (i have a bajillion lying around...)

    or £3-4 as he's in the uk

    no, its just a power lead to the power brick, the lead is nothing special and the brick is auto switching (120/230V)

    mine came from the us with a us brick and power lead and an additional uk lead

    you could even chop the plug off the end and wire in a uk one if you want (what i did for my external monitor)

    You should find pretty chep one's in 1 Pound shops.

    You`re in the UK right?
    Just drop by any electronics store and they should have it.
    I bought my European power cord back here, since in the US where i bought it , they use 3 pin connecters,whereas here , at 220V si 50Hz frequency we use 2 pin connecters.

    Dude,what you want is the cable that goes FROM the power adapter,or power brick,as you wish, to the outlet(or socket,what ever) in the wall. This is the one http://images.icecat.biz/img/norm/high/510153-8288.jpg
    I don`t know if you guys use 2 or 3 pin connecters,but the image shows which part of the cable you need :)

    No. The smallest is the standard 120W PSU.
    You can get bigger ones though.
    If you think that`s big, look at the XPS 1730 or Sager 9262 one...it weighs more than 1 kg(~2 pounds)

    I have 3 european and 3 american for all my laptops. As I said, they`re dirt cheap, since it`s just the cable that connects the adapter to your national power grid :)
    Make sure to tell us how the laptop is when it gets there... I`m jealous I don`t have the 9262...

    Ok I`ll post picture of mine.
    Give me a few minutes.
    Ok here :
    The first pic has the 2 power adapter cables, the one on the left is the US standard with 3 pin, the one on the right is the European one for my country, 2 pins.
    The second pic shows that the power adapter needs 3 pins to be inserted in there.
    That`s all you need to know..Just make sure how many pins your power adapter needs.
