    I just bought a sager 9262
    * Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU 2.40 GHz
    * 2048MB PC5300 667Mhz DDR2
    * 250GB SATA-150 3.0b/s 8M Cache 5400RPM
    * NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX 512MB
    * 8x SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    * Display: 17 in. WSXGA+ (1680x1050)
    the thing is when I went to go buy it from the guy he said it was a Q6700 with two hard drives (250 gig) 9800 gpu. but when I got there it was this model I still bought it but at a lower price $800. I reinstalled windows 32 bit and video drivers from sager but when I installed some games I just didn't get the performance I was hoping to get so I looked up getting a second 8800 to put in sli but I couldnt find one can anyone help. tell me how to make this a better gaming box with out braking my bank ie will raid 0 help more ram ( how much can 32bit use)? can you ad price and do you think it was a good deal thank you just thinking maybe I should just keep my xbox 360 ( I work overnight and like to game at work).

    I would suggest these upgrades for the best performance:

    1. upgrade to ddr3 1066mhz RAM
    2. upgrade to windows vista 64 bit
    3. add another 250gb hd, but a 7200rpm would be better, but u cant cause they are both different speeds. its either 2 5400s or 2 7200s.
    4. get a 8800 to put in sli ---- contact xotic pc or sager and ask about selling the components individually. i believe they do. i configured a computer at xotic pc with a 8800m gtx and added it to the cart, and then deselected all of the options and just chose a 8800m gtx.

    You only need identical drives if you're implementing RAID - and given the amount of trouble RAID seems to be giving so many people (as evidenced by the number of threads on the forum), that doesn't seem like a worthwhile endeavour unless you have a real need for it. If you don't go RAID, then you don't need identical drives.

    google is your friend...

    for ram its 32bit operating systems can only read around 3-3.5gigs, 64bit operating systems can read up to 128gigs. so with 32bit vista youd see around 3-3.5

    The 9262 can not use DDR3 memory. The best you can get is DDR2 @ 800mhz. As for a RAID setup, that will not help FPS. Stick with the single drive and keep life simple.
