Welcome to the club. I've tried the E6700 and the X6800 in this D901C and find that indeed the E6700 a great value for the pricing. The Laptop is so fast, that I found myself crazy at work with the sloooow Desktop. I upgraded the Desktop, and now my hair is growing back! - Actually, now its faster than the Laptop, but not enough that I really care to notice. LIFE IN THE FAST LANE.....

Looks pretty tight. Since you're going with Vista Ultimate 64-bit, a memory hogger, you could boost up your RAM to 4GB. Not necessary, of course, but Vista Ultimate 64-bit will be able to see all 4GB RAM, I believe. And since you're going with Vista, all you need to do now is get a beta driver to feel and behold the awesomeness of SLi! Check out the owners' forum.

BTW, what brand of notebook cooler is XoticPC selling?

I was going to go with the 4 gb and I'll probably upgrade in the very near future, the only reasons I didn't were that I was pretty stretched at how much I wanted to spend already, and that I wasn't sure that Vista would see the 4 gb. I have heard that it only sees up to 2.8 gb. Can anyone confirm if 64-bit Vista will see the full 4 gb on the D900C?

And I'm not sure which cooler they have, it didn't specify, and I can't find it on the website. I figured I'd try it out and if I don't like, can always get something else. I've seen people recommend the Zalman, any other suggestions? I'll be using this between home, school, and work (when I travel). Something that isn't terribly loud but works well.

Definitely the Zalman ZM-NC1000 is the best at the moment... nothing else quite like it.

I personally think the cooler is completely unnecessary if you dont overclock. FN+1 keeps things cool as can be, to a shocking amount. If you do OC, then you could use all the help you can get.

How would OC under Vista 64 bit, haven t found a utility that does it. And the motherboard has none of the needed option to overclock.

Hes got Dual GPUs... so if he OC's those, even with FN1, he may get a lil bit more cooler... i would ONLY get a cooler under his circumstances in fact.. with dual Gpus and That processor... im not gonna buy a notebook cooler myself until i go SLI.. other than SLi, this thing is a cooling beast already.

My Sager arrived this afternoon and I have never been so pleased with a computer in all my life :) Was a bit surprised (although I did know the exact dimentions) of the size of the laptop, but I like it. So far flawless, no dead pixels, and runs like a champ.

I'll post some benches later after I get stuff set up.

Also, I just want to say for those that are looking for a reseller, Xotic PC is great. Smooth transaction start to finish. Only thing missing was the notebook cooler, and when I called they said it would ship today.
