Hi, I was wondering if there have been any driver or firmware updates for the 5790. I went to the Sager site and it still just shows the same driver downloads that it listed when I bought my laptop, drivers are all dated August 2007.

I did get the fan firmware update, but I'm curious if there's anymore, and how do we know when they're updated since they don't seem to change that info on the Sager site?

    Thank you very much! :)

You can go into the 5793 section, the drivers are pretty much the same. :)

I wonder why they don't post that info?

    How's the 8800 video card? :D I'm jealous, I'd love to upgrade!

Can we upgrade the CPU on the 5790s?

Really... NOW I'm excited. My T7700 (2.4ghz) seems to be the weak point in my system when I play games.

    That latest (Firmware
    KBC/EC Firmware
1.00.07Sh ) for the 5793 is also the correct and most current Bios for the 5790?

no that is NOT the bios.. that is only the keyboard firmware. 1.00.08 is the most current bios version as of now.. this is no available from sager unless they are willing to give it to you. if you need it just let me know. after flasging the only difference will be that you have a new startup boot screen. nothing more though. i can make the boot screen almost anything you want if you desire something other than the new "style note" logo

yes that is the keyboard firmware. you need to hit f2 when it asks to "hit f2 to enter setup" then it will tell you there right on that screen the bios version.

anything other than 1.00.08 you need to flash the 1.00.08
