I've been looking through all the news updates for Nvidia's next gen "Pascal" , but due to my limited knowledge about Laptops, i was wondering : What will the next gen of GPU's bring for Clevos? In terms of performance, will it bring anything new to gaming? I saw a bunch of people post about how the current MSI laptops will be upgradeable to next gen, however as i read more into it i get more confused!

Hard to say without benchmarks or real world testimonies. Even knowing the technical specifications of the GPU doesn't necessarily speak to real world performance.

It should bring performance gains to gaming, but hard to say. A lot of pre-release leaked info often gets over-hyped. I'd agree with Prostar completely.

MSI GT72 and GT80 models uses MXM cards in them, the same way some Clevo models do. If they make a compatible MXM card, then there should be a way to upgrade current models now. But again, we won't know more until they are actually launching any new GPUs.

The usual process jump of 580M to 680M style improvements are likely (but not guaranteed). However there could still be quite a wait.

"over-hyped" is the word  if one is to believe the pascal thread ( link), then anything below 980 Ti desktop + 50% would be BLASPHEMY! :p :D

That would be great already. 580m to 680m was quite the jump, much more pronounced as 680m to 780m (or even 880m).
