I've installed the drivers and even did a reinstall of windows and then reinstalled the realtek audio drivers, but nothing.

Both Media Player and Foobar won't play mp3 files. On the "Sounds and Audio Devices" it says "No Audio Device".

Online divx videos won't play audio either.

    Any help?

EDIT: I am using Windows XP Professional

Was it working before the XP install?

aWhat about in Device Manager? Do you see the sound card listed under there? Do you see any hardware under Unknown or still needing drivers?

You're not alone, I'm having the exact same problem, just got my 2090 yesterday and everything installed fine except the audio drivers.

No audio device detected for me as well, but it won't even let me install the Realtek drivers I just get a "Driver Installation Failed !!" with no explanation or anything then it just closes.

I'll post if I find anything, also going to call SAGER later to try to figure it out.

I'm starting to wish I paid the extra $100 for WinXP pro preloaded so I wouldn't have to deal with all this

I had the same problem...it's a driver issue caused by the automated setup (setup.exe) on the XP folder from your driver DVD. You should try this:
REMOVE the current driver you have installed (Add-Remove Programs from control Panel)
    Reboot
When the card gets detected use the manual process to locate the driver. The one that works is located deep in the XP folder from the driver DVD,
do not use the setup.exe. I can post the exact path later today.
    Good luck!

tor may be right, but I did a fresh windows isntall and it worked. Reformatted the HD, installed all the drivers straight from the CD setup files in order (which is what ****ed me up last time) and everything works.

    Basically everything By ToR said...anyways...
Windows will automatically try to install some driver for it, which doesn't work. So remove the default driver and install the one that's on the CD. Should work.
