Hey I've just recently carried out a clean reinstall of Windows 8 and cannot locate a functional Bluetooth driver for my Killer Wireless-N 1202 network card. The one supplied on the disk that came with my laptop refuses to install as it apparently can't detect the correct device. What can I do? Anyone have the Bluetooth drivers by any chance?

Killer Atheros website is borked, servers are down, so that's a no-go.

You can try downloading them directly from Sager Software Upgrade, see if that does any better.

OK thanks that actually worked (though the website is still very dodgy for me, must be server issues other websites are fine). I installed drivers BUT no Bluetooth! The installer seemed to have installed the Bluetooth drivers but nope, upon restart the folders were empty and device manager still shows an 'unknown device' which I know to be the Bluetooth adapter. I had disabled antivirus, as it instructed. I have also uninstalled it, checked any leftover registry items and installed it again, but no luck. The Bluetooth adapter won't work. I know the adapter isn't faulty as it was working fine before reinstallation of Windows. Any ideas?

Did you run the Killer Cleaner Utility?

If need be, you can try installing the driver from Device Manager by right clicking on the device, then Update driver software... then browse my computer. Then just point it to the directory where the driver is and see if it copies the data. :)

Tried this. Gives an error code each time (code 10). The Bluetooth adapter is now just sitting in device manager labelled as 'unknown device' and refuses to accept any driver I try to install to it :(

No good! You mean you tried both the cleaner utility and installing from Device Manager? Or just one or the other?

Maybe Revo Uninstaller will do what the Killer Cleaner Utility can't.

Both. I have tried IObit Uninstaller but will try Revo Uninstaller as well.

Some progress. Windows has suddenly decided to recognise the device after I uninstalled the driver this last time. It has installed generic bluetooth driver. It works as I it detected my phone's bluetooth. So definitely not hardware fault.

Dare I try and install Killer 1202 drivers again? I kind of need to as I need it to connect to WiFi!

    YES!!!

    IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!! :D

I'm so relieved. I was beginning to fear that there was some sort of hardware fault. It works fine now. No idea what I did differently this time around. Very odd. I wish I could pinpoint what the magic fix was so I would know what to do if it ever occurred again in the future, but unfortunately I have no idea!

Thank you for all of your help!

Haha, as long as you and Bison are happy, that's what matters!
