    Hello all,

I have my laptop hooked up to a computer screen with built in speakers. A while ago, the audio stopped working i used a work around until now. However this didn't allow me to use two screens which is now my current setup, and thus i need to fix this problem. I tested it with another laptop to make sure the problem is not with my screen, so it's definitely a problem with my computer. I tried updating the drivers to the latest 11.7 but that still didn't fix the problem...

I'm not sure what i did that suddenly caused it to stop working. It was around the time installed amd app sdk, in order to use opencl.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be or have any suggestions?

    -Alex

Try RealTek's ATi HDMI driver. Select "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)" --> Agree to terms --> DL the software.

Thier servers are flaky and it may take multiple tries to get the download started.

To download from Realtek's website, I usually refresh the downloads page or redo all that "I agree" stuff until I see a link to a US mirror. Those always work, unlike the CHN and HK mirrors.
