So it seems no more S1 discounted models are here.

I spoke with a Sager Account manager and he told me they are not doing them anymore. Not sure how true that is but is a bummer.

They even removed the 8130-S1 so its not just because of the new GPUs or that would have stayed and at least an 8150-S1 with 485M only option.

Seems Sager does not love us enough to give discounted models anymore...

^^^^Even though it is true that there is no S-1 package at this time, there is still special discounts on some components as you go through the configurations. :)

Not necessarily. The regular models are priced incredibly well. Actually, some of the S1 discounts have been added to the regular models like the $80 upgrade for the Blu-ray Reader, which is normally $100.

Also, a couple of the RAM upgrades just dropped by $40 today (down from $180 to $140) which is another significant discount. The 485M just dropped by $200 as well.

So - all in all - I think the pricing on these systems is still very good. Compared to yesterday, you can get certain configurations for over $250 less. Not too bad at all. :)

Yea some stuff has changed but like on the 8150-s1 the screen prices went up, was only $45 for the upgraded screens, now is 95-125 on non s1 depending on reseller.

the blu-ray burner on the 8150 also went up a little.

So while some stuff went down, other stuff went up.

Basically I had an 8150-S1 on order that was returned before I got it but now to order the exact same config it will cost me almost around $100 more. (keeping the GPU at the same price because the 485M was the same price the 580M is now) not to mention the 28 I lost for the return shipping already.

So for some people they come out better, others worse.

    The Blu-Ray Burner on the P150HM / 8150 actually dropped by $5. It was a $180 upgrade yesterday, and now it's $175. :)

np8130 is the same as the p151-hm1 right?
So were the models from Malibal effected by this? I'm building the same machine on their site and it comes up to the same price that it has the past two weeks...

Yup, like I said some of the stuff is cheaper, for the 8130 people its better, for those wanting 8150 having seen the 8150-s1 prices its not so good :(

oh well cant do nothing about it.
