Is it possible to order Noctua fans and take the fans out of their casing and put them in the casing that the Clevo notebooks use for their fans? Talking about the two silver cases that hold the fan in place, so you can have internal fans using Noctua blade/motors.
Thanks.

Sounds like a pretty awesome idea. Hopefully someone will be able to make it happen.

I was thinking this exact thing last night... spooky.
Anyways, sounds like an awesome mod. I have noctua fans in my desktop, when I get my laptop I will do a size comparison to see if it's possible.
EDIT: wait... the Clevo laptop is 41mm at it's thinnest and the fan is 25mm, i don't think it will fit into the chassis but you can cut a hole out of the bottom panel i guess. -

I was thinking of modding the fan when I buy my system, so someone please update on how this works out.

Laptop blowers use radial impellers (90° bend in airflow). Noctua fans use axial impellers (airflow must be as straight as possible). The airflow dynamics are very different and the static pressure requirements for a fan embedded in a laptop chassis pretty much rules-out axial impellers.
I use two noctuas in series as part of an external cooling solution (build-in to my desk) for when the laptop is docked in the office. -
Do you know which model of noctua fans we can put inside instead of stock fans ? Maybe other good brand we can use for this cool modification.

This may sound like an odd suggestion, but apple have made some effort to produce quieter fans and it may be possible that they will fit. They are made for laptops afterall.
