If that is Celsius, yes, that's perfectly fine :)

(And if it's fahrenheit, that's just amazing lol)

i think that's awesome temp because it's really reading the core temperature and those cores can go up to 90c and still be fine

Temps between 50C and 80C under load for CPU/GPU are pretty good, 80C-90C are warm but normal, and anything over 90-95C is something that I'd be worried about (and consider talking to your retailer over).

My 485M does go to 92C when playing heavyduty games like crysis 2. No Fn+1 and flat on desk. But ambient temps where I live are in the range of 30-35C.

I've been meaning to ask someone if this is normal!

Those are high temps, as it's better to keep them under 90C. However, your ambient temps are also extremely high so that isn't to be unexpected. Most ambient temps are around 23-25C, which is quite a bit lower and would have an expected effect on the machine temps.

If you can, keep it on a cooling pad or raised up for better airflow, or run with FN+1 on and keep temps below 90C. While 92C or so may not hurt anything, it's getting close to the 95C+ red zone.

If you haven't done it in a while, it can also be beneficial to open up the unit and clean out the fans. A lot of dust can build up in there and that can cause some of your temps to be higher.

Thanks for the pointers. Ambient temps in my hometown even get up to 40+ on bad years. :D 25-29C is what we get in AC'd rooms
