Just bit the bullet and bought a Novatech X80R in their clearance sale :) Couldn't resist at the price even though the CPU is somewhat underpowered!

    Specs:

    Intel T5550 (1.83gHz) CPU
    2GB DDR2 RAM
    160GB 7200RPM HDD
17" WUXGA Display (with Orange Trim)
    nVidia 8800M GTX Graphics (512mb)
    2 Year C&R Warranty

    ... and the rest :)

    £542 inc. VAT (Approx $1100)

Ordered at 16:00 and dispatched for delivery tomorrow at 16:35!!

Sorry, just checked the invoice and it was £592! It would have been the cheaper £542 if I hadn't opted for the 2 year warranty and Saturday delivery :)

I cant fault it so far, it arrived this morning, less than 24 hours after I ordered it and is running like a dream! Just installing all of the drivers as it came W/O an OS

You still got one hell of a deal dude!

Even upgrading that CPU will put your cost way below what that notebook is worth. I love every minute of mine, and couldn’t see giving it up for a grand. I’m not one to sell my notebooks anyway, as I always find needs to use them. A newer and better notebook, just means the pecking order has changed. LOL!

Enjoy your new lappy, and I hope you have years of enjoyment to come with it!
