I unno; I'd probably go for the 320 gb 7200 rpm hdd instead and put the money you'd save into the warranty. Although you'd have a better performing drive, ssd's actually use more energy than normal hdd's if your hdd is defragmented. I don't think the lower capacity is worth the performance gain. You can also wait until those 400 gb hdd's are out.

Another defector from Alienware. Welcome to the family! That looks like a great setup, and you can upgrade any of the components when you need to.

Has anyone heard how well the cooling is in the NP8660. I am mainly interested in what temps the gpu will normally reach during a gaming session in lets say crysis.

Nice config. I'd axe the turbo memory and throw that into the warranty (I didn't see one listed).

I would also downgrade to a 320/7200/16mb drive from the SSD drive and throw that into the warranty. But that's just me, since I need more than 128GB of space.

Conventional hard drives are said to last about 10 years, so 20 is very nice.

i saw in some forum, but if it last that long damn... now im rethinking, $400 upgrade for 128gb ssd or 320gb 7200rpm $140, 128gb its just too low
