Hi lads, Im having a very slow day at work and fancied some reassurance.

I am planning on buying this laptop below and was wondering if I should get the T9800 over the P9600, is it worth 200USD more?
Basically, will the P9600 be the bottleneck over the GPU in the system in terms of gaming?
(In a range of 2-3 years)
I am a much bigger fan of FPS games but I do love some RTS games too and am looking forward to Starcraft 2 and other good names that are coming.

The P9600 won't be an issue for the GTS in FPS, but RTS will always benefit from a beefy processor, so I guess you could choose the one for whichever you'll play the most.

I got my T9800 specifically for Dawn Of War 2.

2010 is a looong way from February of 2009, and it's not like Core 2 Duo is even a couple of years away from being obsolete. What game is going to tap out a 2.5+ GHz dual core?

I know the Asus Gaming laptops can overclock their CPUs by a relatively large margin, is this possible with Sager laptops?
I dunno yet what I will do actually... Im tempted but 200 dollars is a lot for that...

Btw, will the two different CPUs make a difference in Battery Life?

I bought a NP8660 with very similar specs about a month ago. I got the T9800 and love the thing to death. It's a hell of a little chip

Dude, once you get a Core 2 Duo with 6mb cache, you'll be fine. Get the entry level of that and your set.

    Yes , Deathwinger is right.
Go with the P9600 Core™2 Duo 2.66GHz because its on 25W and will produce lesser heat than T9800 Core™2 Duo 2.93GHz which is on 35W and more battery life. Both are on 1066FSB and 6MB cache so almost same on the performance side.
Good luck with your purchase, you will not be dissapointed ;)
