Sooo...I am just about ready to pull the trigger and order the Np5796 notebook that I have been eyeing, and am curious as to which coolers everyone uses, and how they like it..

I know I can search, but that info is kinda wide spread, so I figured since its Monday and everyone is bored at work, I'd make this thread so everyone can give me there input.

    The popular coolers here are:
    - Zalman ZM-NC2000
    - NZXT Cryo LX
    - Cooler Master Infinite

The Zalman NC2000 is what I chose, but I think the Cryo LX would have been a much better investment. It does make a difference either way though,

I would love to see comprehensive testing results on the NZXT Cryo LX like has been done in these forums on the NC2000.

I have an NC2000 and it certainly cools down my current notebook by a consistent couple of degrees. It runs quietly and it pushes my screen to a more comfortable viewing height. However, if one cools better than another, I'll make the switch.

Ordered a Cryo for my NP-9262 yesterday, should be in around Friday. For some reason I can't get Cpuid HW monitor to show my temps for the HD's, anybody know where to download the version that shows the temps for the HD's?
Will try to run some tests when it comes in, but I really want to do a comprehensive test for all the components.I know it's not a NP57** but at least we might be able to see how much of a difference it makes.
Do you people think it's because I have 3 HD's in my laptop?

Nice! I have a 9262 on the way to me, quad-core, single 320 gb 5400 rpm hard drive, single 9800 gtx in it. I am interested to see how much the Zalman cools it by, considering the 9262 has a LOT more ventilation on the bottom than my current notebook does. That alone should increase the Zalman effectiveness.

Cryo looks sick though too, and possibly with slightly better vent placement? Maybe I should just get it and post up results for everyone.

    Yeah it does look nice!
I got in black so it matches up nice with my laptop, the only concern I have is about the noise but I use a nice pair of ear buds when I game so no worries for me. ;)
The other thing is that they are sort of hard to find and are on the pricey side.$65
If it keeps my laptop cool and it extends it's life it will be well worth it.
