Ok guys, I'm thinking about buying a laptop in the near future for college, so I'll probably buy this in May-ish.
I'm thinking about buying from either Eurocom or XoticPC
Specs will probably be:
1680*1050 matte screen
2.0 or 2.1 GHz c2d, either penryn or not, depending on if it's offered or not
2 GB of DDR2 667 PC2 5300 RAM
8800M GTX w/512 MB GDDR3 Memory
Cheapest 7200 RPM Hard Drive (I have a 500GB external HD so storage isn't an issue)
Vista Home Premium x64
Everything else pretty much standard.
My question is, would I be better of going with the T7250 from Eurocom and saving about $300 US total instead of going for XoticPC w/standard Penryn processors?
Also, how reliable is Eurocom? One last question, what are your experiences with dead pixels? How common/noticeable are they? I heard Eurocom has been getting some bad LCDs lately, so I'm a bit wary of that.
Thanks![]()

Thats a good setup and the last time I went to Xotic website they only offered Penryn processors cause the others were pretty much the same price. plus, I will tell you the same thing they told me tech will probably change by then so just save up and and ask questions then.

Yeah, I am anxious to, and am also getting one at the end of my junior school year, which is in May, so yeah, the wait for both of is will be unbearable but I think we will make it.
