From all the reviews I have seen on such a newly released unit I decided to go ahead and order one. Here are the specs:

    NP5797 Silver Frame Trim Color
    17'' WUXGA
    Intel P8600 2.40 GHz
    nVidia GTX 280m 1gb
    4,096MB DDR3 1066MHz Memory
    2GB Intel® Robson Turbo Memory
    8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL Super-Multi Drive & Software
    320GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
    7-in-1 Card Reader
    Bluetooth
    Intel Wi-Fi Link 5300AGN - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module
    2.0 Megapixel Camera
    Integrated Fingerprint Reader

I am looking forward to getting this, as I know its very powerful. Thanks to everyone who shared there thoughts and reviews on this laptop. :D

rjbg, would it help if I put up my partial review for the 5797 in my thread?

I'm just about ready to do it anyway, but if it'll help you in some way I'll go do that now.

Your new rig is pretty much going to mirror my new rig. The only differences are I havent sprung for a turbo memory yet and I got the orange trim. Sometime tomorrow my chassis should be arriving. :) @JGZinv I for one would like to read your review. On a side note has anyone tried using a minipcie ssd ( such as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820609407 )in this chassis yet?

Nah man...its cool, I've read both reviews, I am just weighing the gain b/w a GTX280 or the 260...
