    Hey guys,

I just got my NP9150 and is loving it. I'm having underutilization problems but for D3 its fine (not the point of the thread)

I couldn't upgrade to SSD cause card was maxed out at the time lol. I was thinking of getting these since the SSD seems like an amazing deal:

Amazon.com: SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5-Inch 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PC128B/WW: Computers & Accessories

    and this for the caddy:
Amazon.com: NEW SATA 2nd HDD caddy for 12.7mm Universal CD/DVD-ROM: Computers & Accessories

My question is whether the SSD is a good deal and this is one of the best to get? Also what is the difference between WW and AM. (Also reconfirm that this one will work? as in do I just put it where the HDD was?)

For the caddy this will work fine from what I see from another thread. Anyone have a better one that will cosmetically be unnoticeable or is this one fine?

    Thanks a lot!

    edit: Meant AM thanks Heihachi!

the samsung are the fastest read/write out there at the moment as far as i know.
i was going to get the 256 and a msata 128 but went for size in the end and got a 500 crucial.
the upgrade to the 128 samsung was £76/$119 compared to your link of $98/£63

There is no real difference between the WW and AM (I believe you confused this with the AW) from what I can tell. Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

The caddy you have linked should be acceptable and fit your laptop, also you may want to check out some of the other highly touted Solid-State drives such as the Crucial and Intel variety as they may have a better deal. Samsung does make an excellent drive though, I have installed one in my wife's desktop.

Be sure that the SSD is installed in the primary drive bay and your HDD is placed in the HDD caddy for the best performance results as the optical bay is limited to SATA II speeds.

Hmm sounds good. Like MrDj has said, most people seem to recommend samsung for its great speeds and games shouldn't really take more than 128gb *which I am guilty for wanting it for xD

I'll do some checks and see if I can find anything better if not I will get these.

Just a quick question, putting the SSD into primary and replacing optical with caddy and HDD is a painless experience?

(The most experience I have is taking apart my desktop and my Alienware M11x to its motherboard)

    Thanks!

Yes, it is a very painless experience. Sager builds an excellent laptop that is easy to service and upgrade by the end user.

Will you be installing only games on the SSD then or will it have the OS installed on it as well?

Um I was planning on OS and games. Everything else would be on my HDD. This would be recommended?
