I know I know the title says it all and your thinking no you can't overclock it you dummy. You can pin mod it to overclock a q6600. Can I install a qx9650 and change the multiplier.....no we been over this bios won't let you.

Well thanks to unclewebb you can now overclock your extreme cpu np9262. No vanishing act here, if you want to overclock the np9262\d901c just find a cheap extreme cpu and use throttle stop. Pretty sure there are no post about this yet, but what the heck I was excited. The only thing holding it back so far is voltages and I'm still in the process of tweaking it.

Voltage control is the one thing I really miss about the Core2 series. That's awesome that you got it working on that beast.

    Hello,

Could you give some details? what do you mean by 'use throttle stop' ? Is that some windows program or some setting in BIOS. How do you change the multipliers?
