Nvidia 267.76 released today - seems to work well with x7200

The official Nvidia 267.76 released today had no problem installing it.

The driver crashed twice - apparently at the very moment the preinstalled Protector Suite activated itself (I had it delayed so it does not load on boot). Disabled the Protector Suite, did a clean reinstall - the driver seems to work stable ever since.

Keep in mind that the driver automatically disables SLI when installed, so don't forget to reenable it manually.

I have noticeable improvements with my 3dmark 06 scores. Did not do a lot of testing yet though.

I did not notice any tremendous Age of Conan improvements (though the game is mentioned in the driver's release highlights). Not that I had any problem running Age of Conan maxed out before, whatsoever.

Anyone else tried the driver out? What is your opinion?

strange as when i do a search on the nvidia driver page the old ones only show but your link works so thanks for that.

    edit:

also only windows 7 32bit/64bit covered.
vista 32bit/64bit still goes to the last beta driver.

there's a link to a clevo driver floating around here w/ 485m support. Sager website driver is 265.77 and the clevo driver is 266.40. Sucks about no nvidia support. Really want to be able to play DA2 in all it's glory

Lame indeed... guess they are cooking up something special for you, guys. I don't think you will be disappointed - the update seems nice. I merely had time to try a bit of New Vegas and some GTA4 - there is a definite improvement with the new drivers (not that there were any issues at all before).

I wonder if this includes the Dragon Age 2 optimizations. They aren't in the release notes, but hopefully it's in there.

No idea, I did not buy the game yet - but I just played the demo under 267.76 - works very smooth - fraps showing me anything between 120 and 190 fps. Feels extremely snappy - no delay at all, no matter if there is a crowd of enemies onscreen or not.

So I guess it is safe to assume it includes the DA 2 stuff as well - that would make sense for a release that anticipated.

I don't think the demo has the high texture pack... I've heard it kills these cards on ultra so I'll see in the morning once da2 finishes loading for me.

i just got done downloading these from the nvidia site, and they seem to be working great so far.

i'm playing rift on ultra settings and it's silky smooth. i THINK my GPU dropped a degree or 2. don't quote me on that though. i'll have to monitor it a bit more. my main concern is the weird driver crashes i get, once in a while, with a couple of the previous drivers. i have my fingers crossed.

I have exactly the same impression - my GPU is running colder with those. Thought I was imagining things - but if you are experiencing the same with the new drivers - seems to be true.

    Good to know.
