Seems like you're late for the party already
-
nothing new there then
just thought id pass on the info for uk buyers. -
I wonder if Clevo will add the GT 445M to its roster.
-
Can anyone answer the following for me:
1. Does Kobalt sell the cards separately?
2. Will it fit my NP8690
3. How much better OR worse is the 460M than the ATI 5870 ? -
it will cost about 350-450USD and performance will be a bit lower comparad to HD 5870 (10%?). There is no reason to switch unles you are facing issues. It should fit as far as you bios supports it so you need the new one.
-
all new G860/NP8690 will have the new 460 as standard so yes it will fit.
as they are so new its difficult to tell how many are in the country so kobalts priority is selling them with new laptops.
it wont hurt sending [email protected] an email asking. -

Five days ago I placed an order for a G510 with the GT 330M.
Thankfully, I opted to pay by bank transfer which hasn't completed yet, so my order isn't yet confirmed. I've fired off an email to sales@ to see if they'll get a 425M in for me. -
as far as i know when the details were put on their website all orders get upgraded automatically unless they were already in transit.
-
I hope so. They do seem to have changed the configurations around a bit, though: e.g. 1920x1080 LCD is now only available on the G860.
Mine was the G510 upgraded with 1080 display, 450M CPU and 128GB SSD. Hopefully I can still get that with the 425M GPU. -
if the config has changed on their website it might be worth giving sales a call or sending an email to check.
its mentioned HERE about the screen.
