    Hi

I am thing now of buying Sager 5720 and was wondering if this card is overkill for games like WOW and Guild Wars, which are the primary games I will be playing for long, long time.

Just looking for real life experiances with people who played these two games on their Sager 5720

    thanks

Neither games are very demanding unless your playing at really high resolutions, so maybe a 15.4" w/x1600 would be more up your alley (maybe a Acer 8204WLMi or Macbook Pro).

Yea, neither of those games needs something as impressive as a 7800. Even an x1600 would be overkill for them. But it never hurts to be ready for the next big game ;)

Both good points Twighlight. My kid plays both of the games mentioned by the OP on high settings with an X1400 just fine. But like you said, it's never a bad idea to be prepared if you can afford it. Having said that, though, games are always changing and new technologies are always being introduced. Games a year and half from now may need Pixel Shader 4.0 and Direct X 10 for optimum play, neither of which may be supported by even today's highest end cards. Sadly, nothing is future-proof. Kind of frustrating when you think about it, isn't it?
