    I downloaded the desktop version... has nVidia merged the two now? I didn't need a modded inf which is a first.

    Hopefully this driver fixes the uber throttled 880Ms that are floating around.

    the desktop version is 235mb while the notebook is 285mb so there still is some difference.

    Hmmm... Well the desktop driver does indeed have support for the 880M built in to it, it might be a good investigation to see if the driver-throttled cards don't have the driver throttle with the desktop version since it appears to be a driver-related flag that gets set in the cards.
