    Hey guys, I'm not trying to post a FS ad here, but I ran across somebody that is selling extremely cheap 460m's meant for the clevo / sager laptops! Check it out:

    NEW 1.5GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M Video card - eBay (item 110615090480 end time Dec-22-10 11:23:14 PST)

    I figured that it would hopefully make a good Christmas present for somebody that wants one. They are selling them for $240 plus $30 for shipping to the USA. Lowest price I've seen on a 460m (and what I paid for mine) was $350 plus shipping and tax.

    Where you at? If you are outside of the USA then the shipping is $70. :( Click the other shipping options right next to the $70 shipping cost to see the $40 shipping to the USA. However, even if you were to spend $70 on shipping the total would be $310 which is STILL cheaper than the $370 or so that I spent.....

    The problem is there is only 1 Clevo laptop that supports 2 cards in SLi or XF.

    Every one of the major distributors sells the same "good stuff." The products all came from the same plant. It's a question of whether they sell good post sale service along with the good stuff.

    That's what I mean.. there are (maybe only one or two) members on the forum that report "nothing wrong with customer support", so I guess they are not always that bad.

    OK now considering the price of the cards is not bad, I have a question : can you use these cards in a W860 with a Nvidia 280GTX heatsink ? Or do you need another heatsink ?

    You need another heatsink b/c the 280m heatsink doesn't fit. When I purchased my 460m, it came with the heatsink...I would maybe call up Eurocom and see if it comes with the heatsink or if you have to buy one.
