yupy!
I really like that Nvidia is now releasing mobile and desktop drivers at the same time. -
No driver for 64-bit vista?
-
now thats interesting as it was there 20 minutes ago.
ill get it from my post on kobalt. -
I only get the 185.85 when trying 9M series 64-bit vista. With 32 bit I get the new one.
-
there ya go 186.03 Vista 64bit
-
Thank you. =)
-
no probs.
got no idea why its dissapeared from the website even though my link still takes you to it. -
I got it right
.
The new driver has support for the 280M in clevo, arima and HP workstation infs. -
Does it have any improved in-game performance? Anyone care to test?
-
I've just ran the world in conflict benchmark, I got 29 average fps up from 28. It's the only game I have
.
-
I have done test with DMC4 and Crysis. With 185.85 and with 186.03. I will post them in 10 min.
Ok. With 185.85 I had some stuttering from time to time. But with 186.03 I had no stuttering during DMC4 test. I did`nt pay that much attention to the Crysis test, but the little I saw, it did`nt stutter. So hopefully it mean a smoother gameplay.
Overall, a little FPS improvement. But more importantly, atleast for me, no stuttering. I have`nt tested by playing though.
Pics with temps and stuff:

I got about 100 point less in 3DMark06 and Vantage compared to my sig when I was using DOX 182.46 (or something like that).
Update: This driver really impresses me. FarCry2 gameplay has never been smoother. When I drove a car before, every now and then I got a stuttering. No more. The FC2 benchmark turn out pretty good too:
* Average Framerate: 40,73
* Max. Framerate: 63,57
* Min. Framerate: 30,74
1680:1050 everything on max, DX10, except shadows (the FPS killer) on very high instead of ultra high and no AA. -

Nice improvement. I'll have to +rep you tomorrow, I have spent my rep quota for the day.
Edit: I think I will go install these drivers now actually, and test em out, hope they work well with Nvidia system tools, the last 185's I tried didn't, so I went back to Dox's. -
i know people slag off 3dmark06 most of the time but this is how i compare them from my original drivers.
ok i got a drop in mark06 of 10, woop e doo.
but the interesting bit is the vantage score where it shot up by over 700
-
What settings and resolution are you running that game on?
I would expect you to get a lot more fps unless the 29 fps you mentioned is the lowest average? -

Yep I have a pretty nice improvement, they actually perform better than the best performing dox drivers i used with my 8800M GTX.
-
Saw a little improvement from 185's.
Good driver. -
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
Buckle your seatbelts, boys and girls. Nvidia is going to launch 186.10 WHQL very soon.
-
lol, if it gets just a tiny bit better each time, eventually you've gotten a whole lot better. I say keep em' comin

Keep an eye on your post count, anothergeek. 1,000 GET.
-
is this any better that DOX's 185.85 drivers.??
if not ill stick with Dox's.
-
It's with everything on very high and almost all options on at 1680x1050 resolution. And this is the average I've been getting pretty much since I got the laptop. On stock GPU clocks and the P8600 I used to get 24-25 with OC I used to get 26-27 fps in average and with the T9600 + OC I seem to get 28-29 fps.
-
Are these drivers Vista only? They don't appear when searching for XP drivers.
-
xp is there. change to which graphics card you have and download HERE
-
Yup, these drivers are worth the DL...
-
Yup.... 186.03 ... Tis' a good driver!
-
Do they work for the JHL90?
-
That's what I did. I have tried both 8m series, which I have, and 200m series which a lot of you seem to have and it always shows 185.85 as being current driver.
-
what computer are you running and what graphics card have you got?
ill then post both xp links -
Definitely worth it, Fallout on high ultra high runs great
-
Same issue as Kazakore. Info is in my sig. Thanks in advance!

sorry to say it looks like they dont have any updated drivers for xp
but here are the windows 7 with 9xxxx graphics cards
32bit windows 7 http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_win7_186.03_whql.html
64bit windows 7 http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_win7_x64_186.03_whql.html -
So we're not going mad then. I even tried putting in winxp in place of winvista in the url to see if it was just not being found in the search. Ach well, maybe they'll get around to it...
-
unless they arent going to release any more for xp as we move forward for the release of windows 7 (just a guess b4 people start screaming).
PS. HD temp. is defanately better with these than the 185.85
its down 3-4c to 49-50c -
I agree. I believe that we may have seen the last of the XP based drivers.
-
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.Little bit of a shame but as you aren't going to be using XP if you want the latest games, which I guess need the most current drivers more than anything else, it's not too much of a blow. Would be nice if development still continued, even if slower, but Vista and W7 are so different to XP I'm not going to hold my breath for it.
-
Anyone tested that driver with 8700M GT 512 on a 9261. Please respond. The driver that nvidia is providing does improve performance on the card correct.
-
Gday fellas,
im using this driver and ive got my dell 24inch monitor hooked up to my NP9262.
i have set up the multi display mode on it.
now my question is when i close the lid on my laptop, the laptop changes focus and transfers everything to the 24inch monitor.
but when i open my laptop lid it does not come back to the laptop screen at all
how do i go abouts rectifying this.?
the only way so far is to disconnect both the dvi cable from the laptop and start the multimonitor setup again.
