I'm testing right now this drivers. I modded it becouse it coudn't recognize officialy my gtx 680M in P170HM by NVIDIA. Works ok performance is similar to 304.79, but there is a lot of updated games profiles.

 

loaded fine for me with the 680. used driver cleaner and driver sweeper in safe mode which found loads of obsolete nvidia crap as usual.
3dmark06 - 100 points
3dmark11 + 60 points
3dmark Vantage + 720

only played crysis 2 tonight but will try out B3 tomorrow. no idea on fps as not checked and not really bothered.

 

I can't wait to try these drivers when I get home, i'm trying to squeeze as much performance out of my 680 as possible. Still only averaging 45fps on sleeping dogs even at my OC + modded bios.

 

huge improvement for me coming from latest beta drivers, went from 5800-5900 to 6100 in 3dmark11... happy camper right here

 

TXAA is a joke. It literally blurs every thing and calls itself Anti aliasing.

 

Anyone able to help out a lowly M17xr1 280m sli user, with some modded .inf's that'll make this driver work for me? Gotta have that sli profile for Dishonored as there's no way I want to play that on a console.

one full round of B3 but then 4 crashes in the next round. screen freezes and ctrl alt del to close.
i hope its just the servers and not these drivers as i cant find the default 302.71 that lappy came with.

had enough. too many freezeups in B3

302.92 from clevo loaded and 2 games of B3 and no crashes. only one server timed out.
and also its bumped my windows graphics score back upto 7.1 wahooo

 

update:

just reloaded these whql drivers again.
for some reason with the previous driver vantage is failing on the crash and burn test. futuremark forum suggested to manually update PhysX driver even though when loading drivers it said i had the latest which was PhysX 09.12.0604
after a search i found in fact i wasnt using the latest and PhysX 09.12.0613 was released 3 months ago in July.

vantage now runs fine so could you all check you have the latest PhysX loaded

start>control panel> nvidia control panel>system information> components tab> 4 on list should be 09.12.0613

 

Do you still get crashes in BF3?

strange how when loading the latest drivers it says its upto date but infact its not.

just about to try B3 again.
i had a few crashes in game with these latest drivers so downloaded the 302.92 from clevo page. they were ok at first but then the crashes started again so i decided to give the latest whql another go. fingers crossed.

whats your B3 user name.

too good to be true. great game until halfway through and another freeze up and then exit game. b***ocks

and within 4 minutes of re entering game it goes again. b***ocks with cherries on top.

3rd attempt game crashes on game bootup screen.

4th attempt again crashes on joining game screen.

 

i see no performance increase in either shogun 2 nor battlefield 3

 

these are the error codes im getting from windows which doesnt help much.

going to try a different server to see if it changes thing but i love the hairy haggis TD server.

 

im trying a system restore to before i updated any graphics drivers.

302.71 default drivers that were loaded when i got computer.
PhysX loaded is now an old one 09.12.0507

not updating anything now until ive tried game again.

edit:
one game was fine and then crashed again.
i was still moving in game for about 10 seconds but everyone else was running on the spot. now could this be a server problem or is it defo my drivers that are causing this.

 

Mine is Hawkhacker.

302.92 does still seem to be the most stable one.

would be handy to have someone else in game that can say if its a server crash or my drivers.

had a 2 hour session on crysis 2 last night without any problems but of course thats not as demanding as B3

 

Well I had 2 freezes on BF3 with 306.23, now rolled back to 302.92.

 

302.92 was the same for me. one full game and then one or two crashes in all the other games after that.
i couldnt find the default drivers that it came with anywhere so i done a system restore which brought them back.
might just update the physx again but im still getting crashes with these drivers which i didnt have when i received the lappy.

 

Were you also using FXAA injector for BF3? Before switching from 675M to 680M I was getting crashes with FXAA injector installed. Now I run the game without it and use the FXAA from nvidia panel instead (need to use nvidia inspector).

I thought FXAA was buggy and thus had been removed and replaced with TXAA?

 

no, TXAA is just a new type of AA that is currently available in just The secret world and Borderlands 2. Its also highly overrated and just makes everything excessively blurry
