I have a few errands to run but I can't wait to see whats in store. 880m needs more mature drivers.

as its an official ill risk it for a biscuit when i get a chance.
-
I just installed them. Maybe the Divinity: Original Sin SLI profile will be a sliver lining to the inevitable crashes and artifacts yet to come.
-
Installed. No noticeable performance difference, atleast for BF4.
-
didnt have time last night as had to reload every futuremark benchmark as they all showed errors.
then vantage wouldnt run with latest physx so had to load older version blah blah blah.
will load tonight. -
I've not noticed much in FPS difference, but I did notice a 3c drop in thermals on my GPU during Borderland 2.
Curious if this is optimized on certain games, a one-off, or if you notice it as well. -
Just installed. I did notice slightly better fps in my games, although not to a groundbreaking extent
-
-
not a lot of difference for me. some scores up and some down.
-
I'm curious if anyone else noticed reduced temps with the latest drivers or if it's just in my head. -
last time i played a game was a few months ago and it was cold here. im melting now with this freak uk summer weather so wont be able to give a comparison as it will be in the 90c within seconds i guess.
give it a week and it will be jumpers out again and then ill try. -
Not just no, but hell no. 327.23 is working great for my needs. -
-
After the driver update, my second card doesn't go above 135 MHz. Driver rollback, here I come.
Edit: Uh oh. GPU 2 stuck at 135 MHz even after driver rollback. I hope it's not perma-throttled. I haven't crashed or overclocked anything, so I couldn't see how. -
Sounds like that nasty flag to me. See if you can get rid of it by trying what mathieulh has posted.
-
I modified the inf on the 327.23 driver, but the installation keeps failing, though it will recognize my cards as compatible. I have never modified an inf before, but it seemed a pretty straight forward cut and paste affair. Anyone kind enough to upload an inf I can drop into the folder?
Edit: Ah, I skipped over the other two steps. Driver Enforcement etc. Now it installed, but GPU 2 is still stuck at 135 MHz. Hmm. -
Not trying to be insulting, I've forgotten simple things like that before and racked my brain for hours trying to figure it out.

You should have a setting for physx and SLI configuration. If that's not there, use DDU to remove the drivers entirely and put 337.88 on, shut the computer off for a few minutes turn it back on and let it sit at the desktop and the pop up should come up to enable SLI. I wish I had my machine so I could show you.

This is where the setting should be

Yeah, all I had was "Set PhysX Configuration" in my 327.23 driver. I'm installing 337.88 now.
I have a sneaking suspicion that SLI may have been disabled in my 340.52 installation. Does it automatically disable it after an update, or is that some kind of bug?
After reboot a balloon popped up asking to enable SLI. It's working now. You're a great guy, Ethrem. Thanks for your help. I'd give you rep but NBR tells me I'm not spreading it around enough.deadsmiley and Ethrem like this. -
Glad it fixed it!
Yeah driver updates always disable SLI and it has to be re-enabled after the install is done and you've rebooted the machine. Kind of a pain in the .
I would stick with 337.88 for the time being, its the most stable release on our cards.

Glad Ethrem helped you fix the issue. Btw I rep'd him for you

I've been highly curious if the lower thermals I've been experiencing is proving true for everyone. -
Could just be ambient temps as well. I've noticed even a 2C change in ambient temps can translate to a 3-4C difference on the GPUs.
