Hey everyone!I'm almost receiving my P180HM with 560m GTX SLi, and Thermal Dimond7
I can't find on the web anything about OC dual 560GTX mobile version..only the desktop ones...
Can we OC both of the cards or just one..?at what steady values?Any specific program for OC DUAL configurations or can we use MSI Afterburner and finnally..is it worth to OC both of them?is the gain in performance good enough to run the risk of melting them down??

    Thanks!!

You can OC both at the same time using afterburner. Those cards run very cool especially with the cooling in the p180hm. It's up to you whether or not to OC them. You will gain a decent performance increase depending on how high you overclock them.

You wont be able to run BF3 on ultra no matter how much you overclock them. However you can run it on ultra with no AA. (at least for big maps like caspian) Mine came with a basic bag but I recommend getting a bag with more padding considering the price of the laptop. I got a toshiba bag from amazon with plenty of padding. There are also backpacks made by targus and the like that are excellent as well.

Any recommendations on stable clocks? Or by how much? Without causing heat issues or other problems? I have the IC Diamond thermal compound so I'm confident I can oc but not sure by how much or what a good target oc is?

There really are no stable clocks that are guaranteed except for stock. If you overclock, you really have to do it bit by bit and very slowly. It's best to increase by a few Mhz, run some load tests, and rinse and repeat. If you have the 560m, you want to try to keep temps somewhere between 70 and 90C under load. You should never go above 90C if you can avoid it. Above 95C can damage your card.

    Understood!

I assume HWMonitor is still the tool for watching temps?
I don't have plans to OC right away, nor do I feel I will need/want to ever OC hardcore, maybe just a slight increase5-10% On my old Sager I OC'd the processor from 2.4 to 2.6ghz, I slight increase but it made me feel better so looking to do some similar on the GPU if I can.

Speaking of which, is the i7 overclockable? How would one do that these days.

So that means no CPU overclock?? Got it...oh well to bad, good thing its a powerful CPU anyway haha.

I'll just do the GPU then

No, unfortunately the model you have is not overclockable. Only the unlocked XM models (2820, 2860, 2920, etc) are able to make use of the unlocked multiplier. The QM models only have turbo boost available, which is basically an automatic overclock anyway.
