So after Niff pointed me towards this thread appreciated it! ;) http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/456650-m860tu-setfsb.html

And a lot of reboots I finally got as close as I could get to 2.6gz. By edit the Diagnosis as Welshman mentioned tryd out a few and ended up with D3.

    Running at stable 26c

    CPU-Z Validator 3.1

Thanks to the Audigy's SetFBS Auto Tool. I Made a one click button that will clock it for you. I cant guaranty you will get the same clocks as me of course but atleast close or more.

Of course, it's going to run stable on idle at 26C. You should try Prime95 to see if its stable under full load.

You should be able to push it to 2.9-3.06GHz effortlessly. I had a P8700 and just by raising FSB it would go to 3.06 stable.

Thats impossible to keep stable i can max it at 1333mhz that gives 2.96gz i think it was. And it wont stay stable there for long. You really know something I want to know :) What PLL you use? Only PLL thats working well is ICS9248BF-96 but it only got 4 different FBS 1066MHz, 1077MHz, 1120MHz, and 1333MHz.

My cooling is very good. No problem with temps.

Its not possible to OC the m860tu beyond 333mhz so you would need a 2.53ghz cpu to attain that.

You have to downclock your RAM with Taiphoon burner and then you can get 2.96ghz stable...

I had a different machine with unlocked BIOS (M17XR1) I could set FSB to any setting. Guess, that doesn't apply here :(

Ah okay il try the downclocking the ram but is that worth it? Slower ram vs faster CPU?

Yes it is worth it. It doesn't actually run slower. See, if you compensate to have 800mhz RAM at 1066mhz FSB, then at 1333mhz OCd FSB you will have roughly 1066mhz RAM again.

I'v tryd taiphoon burner and I cant get it work on my 64bit system. Iv turned off UAC and disable signature driver. Running as Full Administrator.

As you can see i'm running windows in test mode so the driver signature is disabled.

    Disabled UAC:

So UAC and Driver Signature is disabled and still it wont write.

Only option is for me to buy premium? Or can i use a 32bit OS and do the clocks and go back to a 64bit?

There is a certain free trial version that will write. I don't know if its 32 or 64 but I have it somewhere. PM me and I'll email it to you.
