The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

There is a thread about this in the off topic area and it was said that if it is at a good temp nothing bad will happen. Because leaving it on for a long time the computer does not have to go though the stress or risk while turning on. Just keep it cool and it will be fine. But moving parts will were out weather they are on for a long time or off and on. because once the parts are moving they are ok but it is getting them to move that is had. remember u static is always greater than u kenetic (im doing my pysics right now)

as long as the temps are fine, and the lid is not closed... it should be fine.

I would recommend to use a notebook cooler just to be safe.
