I'm running a np 9380 Sager with crossfire 8970m. Does anyone have something similar and mind sharing what they use to get demos and such to work? I can't seem to get away from the 60 hz of my primary monitor that or it is a black screen

You can try setting Oculus Rift as your primary display (it should be option in "screen resolution" menu that's accessible via right-click on the desktop, when your headset is connected and turned on).

It's pain to use Windows like that, but it did help for me with some demos that were stuck on 60 Hz (I don't have your notebook, not even close, it's MSI GS60 with Nvidia Optimus, but that 60 Hz lock is a common issue).

Also make sure Oculus Rift display is set to use 75 Hz (in the same menu as before, now under "advanced settings", which should open another dialog window, where "monitor" is one of the tabs).

Thanks, I should note that I had more luck using Catalyst Control Center.....set rfit as primary and just turn it on right before you launch
