After we purchased our 5720, I installed the AP-Key utility so that the touchpad can be easily turned off.

This morning, my wife noticed that the Function-F1 command was no longer working (nor is Function-F2). The odd problem is that now the key commands increment/decrement numbers on the track led on the audio dj. The numbers are displayed in hexadecimal and range from 00 to 4d.

I put in a request for callback to Sager (of course), but I was wondering if anyone else has ever had/heard of this problem.

AP-key utility? I'm not familiar with this.

The touchpad can be turned off with Fn+F1 with no extra software. That function is built into the hardware of the 5720/5760 chassis.
Fn+F2 is the command to turn all fans on high, and is also built into the hardware.
I'd say uninstall that key utility, it's not doing anything that your computer couldn't do already.
