    Fiance tried to open Microsoft Office this afternoon that came with our 9262 and it asked for a 30 letter code. I don't see this code on any of my CD's or material that came with the laptop. Where is it?

    Call up the maker of the laptop if you can not find it.

    (as it sounds like your Office came with your laptop)

    Are you sure it was not a trial of Office?

    Roar. Beat me to it. OpenOffice is free + you can save your files in any format you'd like.

    i.e.

    Writer -> Word
    Impress -> Powerpoint

    OpenOffice is a very solid product. Impress (OpenOffice's powerpoint) isn't yet able to open Powerpoint files created by the very latest version of Microsoft Office, at least when I was using it in my school work - but opensource software has a way of rapidly improving compatibility issues.

    I'd definitely reccomend OpenOffice as a free alternative to Microsoft Office.
