I will start the ball rolling with some gaming stats...
(At moment i havent got Crysis Benching software but will download it today)
Heres some starting data though... (note this data was previously listed 8hours ago here..... http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...vo-x7200-power-supply-issues.html#post6804739)
Crysis
Graphics = Full everything, AA 8x, 1920x1080
PSU draw = 280w average -307w Max
Temps = 1st 480m was 84c 2nd was 68, CPU mid 60's
Time = Played for 40mins
CPU draw = 144.98w
FPS with Fraps, 8x AA, Min 21, Ave 25, Max 27
FPS with Fraps, AA off, Min 23, Ave 30, Max 41
So Crysis on full setting, AA on 8,4,2 or off seemed to draw the same off the PSU.
Star Craft 2
Graphics = Full Ultra settings
PSU draw = 260w max
Temps = 1st GPU 73c, 2nd 60, CPU temps mid 50's
Time = Played for 60mins?
CPU draw = 144.98w
FPS with Fraps, Min 58, Ave 60, Max 94, at times 947
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Graphics = Full High settings, AA=8x CSAA, AF=8x
PSU draw = 315-335w Average, 344w Max
Temps = 1st GPU 84, 2nd 70, CPU's 75
Time = 60mins
CPU draw = 144.98w
FPS with Fraps, Min 49, Ave 70, Max 83
Idle or just surfing the net
PSU draw = 110-115w average
CPU draw = 35.63w
Temps = 45-50c across the board
Not sure why CPUID always says max CPU draw was 144.98w??(bug)?
Conclusion: taking into consideration that i was using an external monitor (which means the laptop isnt drawing energy to power its own LCD) Just playing games like BF Bad Company 2 will have your PSU drawing almost 350w which is very close to max draw on the PSU
Lets go! List your benching score everyone
-
+reped, hoping to see your Crysis bench!

I also am looking forward to the full battery of benches for people to run.
In addition to gaming benches, I recommend any one interested try out all of the 3d Benches used at HWBot.org -

Passmark 7.0
This is the Clevo x7200 w/i7 950 stock...
However I ran the test 3 times (this is the middle score) and got different results for each, so dont really trust it, my first run had much higher, CPU, GPU 3D, Ram but the CD and HDD let it down
Uploaded with ImageShack.us -
I keep forgetting that these are 480M scores and I can't afford them
-
post metro 2033 @ very with 4xaa and dx 11 effects on and @high aaa with only tessellation on and dof disabled also bench mafia 2 maxed out and alien vs predator maxed out.
i want to know how much in avg % difference sli gtx 480m is faster than cfx 5870m is it worth the extra USD 1200?? -
-
-
My cinebench 11 score with 4ghz oc
-
say..can you redo that linx test..but this time..use all available memory..512 really isn't much of a test...
-
Ugh I want one of these bad boys sooo bad but SLI is sooooo outta my price range
-
Will do, temps went into the 90's so stopped the test!!
I would feel totally comfortable with about 10 passes, but the heat becomes a real problemMay try again later next to a freezer when it cools down. The thing was using 340watts and 145amps during the test, wow, the psu held up
-
this is why it needed to be max problem size or 25000 or better.
not sure why you have the watts up to 285 and amps up to 190.
drop that to just above stock and only move the watts...till you see no gain or all multi's staying the same speed...then add amps at like 5 at a time. -
The xtu watts and amp setting need to be that high or the cpu will stay at 3333ghz, crazy isnt it, those settings should not need to go that high.
Watts at 260w drop cpu to 3333ghz, amps at lower than 175 drop the cpu frequency to, xtu needs some more bugs fixed maybe -
look at this, if I drop turbo boost max power, and max current by a little the cpu stays at 3333ghz
Must find what I'm doing wrong
max watts down from 290 to 280
maz amps down from 190 to 180 = cpu running at stock, the pic shows xtu fluctuate cpu to 3700ghz, this is only breifly, stays at 3333ghz 95% of the time
-
lawtq:
when you get back..ill run my 980 against those settings you have and see if there may be a work around...this may be why the units are so limiting!..that is a big chunk of power loss there for no reason what so ever. i can run at 5.2 ghz and not use as much as your using. -
Look forward to your findings. The raising of the max power and max amps really increases the temps to unacceptable levels
-
I need some benchmark with single 480m vs 460m sli with i7-950 please. Some Vantage bench would be awesome
-
@SGH77
Passmark 7.0 score of ~1770 should be much higher for this laptop.
@babyhemi
What do you get in Crysis Very High at 1920x1080?
@lawtq
I see that the battery wear level is already 3%. Shouldn't you be worried about that happening so soon? -
Battery wear was like that right away from new, it doesnt bother me at all, I know it will die fast like all laptop batteries, may just get another when that happens, may not even bother, babyhemi's one is the same 3% I think
-
My unit turned up brand new saying battery wear 5%, now its saying 3% so not sure about the accuracy of the rating. -
I had a Passmark 7.0 score just over 1800 with my Q9550S, FX 3700M, WD 5400rpm HDD and PATA ODD.
I have seen D900F laptops scoring in the low 20k, but it may be that the benchmark itself is not very accurate. -
What is the actual Crysis benchmark software called, there are 3 on 3dguru and Im not sure which one is the one mentioned showing in your benchmarking. None of the them are labelled Crysis Benchmarking on Vista 64 -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
I use crysis benchmark tool 1.05 I believe
-
Damn BigKid!! I am impressed by your system specs for real!

Wow...we are at the end of October and hardly no one is posting any numbers here...where did you all go???
_________ -
i'm waiting for mine.. still.. ugh! lost in ups package system!
-
lol -
so.. this is me.. sitting.. waiting for ups callback to do a trace on my package. -
man, how did ups lose your package?
i keep a constant vigil over ups shipments via cell phone app. -
ugh! i'm currently in a remote part of BC for work.. so they have to use 3rd party from the nearest city that's 4 hours away. so 1 day from Vancouver to Nearest Location. then 4-5 days to get through the 4 hour trip.. yay canada post! -
aaah, that makes sense...thats a customs hold right?
-
lets release it.. then get close to the receiver.. then call it back.. and not call the person,,, until he calls us---then release it kinda customs hold..
so ya.. ugh! -
well that sucks!

We are spoiled living in the US, you especially so being in SoCal John lol
-
we should get a list of things that we need-want tested on this thing.. and then we can cross off things that have been done.
I mean.. like the obvious things.. and bios overclocking.. realworld game tests.. game +app test/encoding/ripping/transcoding.
i even wonder how many active users have these things.. and where are they?? -
-
maybe if you happen to live in a far off rural location... surrounded by wild animals.... maybe that's why ups won't come near me.. lol.. must be the giant rats... oh.. i mean deer laying all around my house.
/me can't waits to move back to Vancouver.
*cough* the job will be over soon.. -
-
I have been way way up north in BC for over 3 years now. this project is almost over.. everything i've ordered ups.. goes to 3rd party because there is no ups up here. no greyhound. no 7-11 no mcdonalds no wal mart.. 1 gas station and a hotel.
so.. unless you are like above.. i don't think ya will have any issues. -
Hope you get yours soon!
hmm, cant wait till i get my hands on my NP7280 too. -
-
If its possible from your end dexgo?
TIA! -

Yup, noticed it imediatly. Its actually like a drowning man trying to breath and you hit him with the paddle in the head.
Thats the situations with that x7200.
Same as in medicine actualy.
When a person is sick, he is sick because the body started the sickness in order to mantain balance. Sickness is actualy the process by wich the body maintains itself. Thus "curing" the sickness is an absurd notion to say the least, as the sickness it self is the cure.
So acctualy, when doctors, "cure" sickenss with pills, they are actualy inhibiting the healing process.
Same example as with the drowning man.
